nothing immediately comes to mind. i like a lot of quotes. people say many things that are funny, witty or meaningful. and when those quotes are in front of me, i smile, laugh or feel inspired. i might plan to remember them so i can continue to enjoy them. i even have a book of quotes that i started collecting when i was in high school. but to just pull one out of my memory as a favorite? this is not my forte. (forte. i played piano this past week for the first time in years. it was fabulous. i miss having a piano to play.)
probably my most-quoted movie line is "i'll be back, and you'll be sorry." so if quantity of usage counts, that must be my favorite. i don't feel particularly fond of it, though. it just happens to have a lot of opportunities for use.
i quote a lot of lines from the tv show Friends ... but they're really just the product of over-saturation of the mind.
on a completely different subject, i'm going to have to find a way to reorganize my board and card games. with the new additions from christmas, they'll never all fit in their currently alloted space. i'll add that to my list of things to do on my day off tomorrow.
back on task. let's pull out that book of quotes and see if we can find any gems, shall we?
the world would be a better place if every one had a goldfish.
definitely one we should all take to heart.
nobody's ever gone blind by looking at the bright side of things.
i wonder if this has been scientifically studied.
people will notice your feet if you wear two different socks.
i've tested this one. it's true.
my brother has the brainpower of creamed corn.
okay, i didn't say that myself, and these are a little ridiculous ...
when will you begin to understand that being normal isn't necessarily a virtue?
and my favorite has been chosen.
