every night when i close at work, i find myself questioning what i generally consider to be common courtesy. did no one else's mother teach them that if you're leaving a parking lot with a group of people you always wait to be sure everyone else's car starts before leaving? especially at night? we all leave the store together when we close, but most of the folks jump in their car and speed away as quickly as possible. what if someone can't get her car started? no one should have to be there alone, in a dark parking lot, waiting for a ride.
do these same people, when dropping someone off, simply drive away without waiting for the person they dropped off to get inside?
it baffles me.
